My research interests are currently focussed on viral self-assembly and nucleation. These processes are studied using molecular simulations and theory in the group of Prof. David Reguera.

UPDATES:

A new paper on the comparison of differents methods to evaluate nucleation rates from simulations has just been published in the Journal of Chemical Physics:

"Evaluating nucleation rates in direct simulations"

Guram Chkonia, Judith Wolk, Reinhard Strey, Jan Wedekind, and David Reguera

  1. J.Chem. Phys. 130, 064505 (2009)

DOI:10.1063/1.3072794

A second article on experiments of nucleation of nitrogen is also accepted and will be published shortly.

30/01/2009

I will be giving a talk on the "pressure-effect" in nucleation at this years "Bunsentagung", the anual meeting of the German Physical-Chemistry Society, in Cologne in May. The talk is scheduled for May 23rd.

An additional list of peer-reviewed articles can now be found on ResearcherID.com, including citation metrics. The lists on talks and posters can still be found here.
